Patient Forms
The first time you come into the clinic there is paperwork to complete. You can print off forms and complete them before you arrive. We ask patients to arrive about 20 minutes early for their first appointment to complete other new patient forms.
Consultation
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Tobijas Wells. During this consultation, you will discuss your health-related problems and concerns while reviewing your intake forms. You will have the opportunity to give more details relating to your condition(s).
Examination
After your consultation, the doctor will perform a thorough examination. These tests typically include vitals, reflexes and flexibility. Other neurological, orthopedic, postural, physical and stress tests will be performed as needed.
X-Ray Studies
Depending on the outcome of the examination and your presentation, X-rays may be taken. X-rays are taken so that we can see what is happening inside the body. They can show common conditions and help alert the doctors of some more serious health conditions. X-rays aid in determining a treatment plan made specifically for you.
Report of Findings
The doctor will discuss the findings with you. This is an educational opportunity in which you will view your X-rays and ask questions. Some things that are discussed are goals, prognosis, frequency of visits, as well as in introduction to chiropractic care.
Treatment
Following the consultation, examination, and report of findings, if chiropractic care is recommended for your condition you will proceed to an adjusting room. Treatment typically includes spinal adjustments and/or physical therapy.
